CRISIL Ratings webinar on the construction sector: Execution, Execution, Execution!

Summary

Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies were hard hit by the economic slowdown and the Covid-19 pandemic in fiscals 2020 and 2021, respectively.

This fiscal, too, started with the second wave of the pandemic impacting execution – though not as severely as the first – and a surge in prices of key inputs, particularly steel.

The government, meanwhile, is looking at ramping up capital expenditure (capex) and infrastructure spend through its ambitious National Infrastructure Pipeline programme, offering some respite.

In this milieu, CRISIL Ratings is organising a webinar on the construction sector featuring a presentation by its experts that will cover:

  • Outlook on the capex plans of central and state governments, and the private sector
  • Opportunities for EPC players across sectors such as roads, urban infrastructure, and railways
  • Revenue outlook with an eye on order-book visibility
  • Operating margin outlook, given a sharp increase in commodity prices
  • Trends in working capital management and impact of government measures
  • Financial leverage and credit outlook

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with eminent leaders from the EPC sector, and a Q&A session.
