CRISIL's Data Slicing System is a powerful and robust queriable software which allows the user to generate all kinds of information through its unique Query feature.

The Database is maintained through specific templates according to the nature of industry, such as manufacturing, software, banking, and NBFC. This enables segregation of one type of companies from another, enabling more industry specific analysis and reports.

Data is populated after identifying the treatment for various types of profit & loss and balance sheet items normally available for a company. Re-check of the data entered for the various companies is carried out as a second level of quality assurance. Database is queried periodically to ensure consistency.

Getting a list of borrowers meeting certain financial criteria, or sorting and filtering company names alongwith the desired criteria is possible in a jiffy. The user may choose as many variables as required, and the System will throw up the result almost instantaneously.

A lot of customization is also possible. Our report formats can be tailor made as per client requirements.

For example, the current data is already linked to the Credit Monitoring Arrangement (CMA) formats for commercial banks. It could be reformatted for specific reporting requirements of an organisation.

Additional templates could be added for internal rating formats linked to financial numbers and ratios (for either lending or investment).

An entire internal reporting system could be created in CRISIL's Data Slicing System, such as customer contact reports, portfolio analysis, transaction records and so on.
