Urban Development, Reforms and Governance

We have one of the largest teams in the urban development advisory space, with extensive experience in urban planning and development, urban finance frameworks, and working with city governments. We have worked with over 50 cities, assisting them to prepare city development plans (CDPs). This includes supporting  the Ministry of Urban Development in preparing CDPs for 30 cities under the World Bank-funded Capacity Building for Urban Development programme. One of our pioneering initiatives has been the development of tools and frameworks for benchmarking urban service provisions.

We have also done pioneering work in urban finance, developing state level urban finance frameworks for Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. For Odisha, we developed a framework for property tax assessment and framed rules for the property tax amendment bill. We are developing a business plan for Indonesia’s Infrastructure Development Fund as well.
