CRISIL has suspended its rating on the bank facilities of Saboo Sodium Chloro Limited (SSCL). The suspension of ratings is on account of non-cooperation by SSCL with CRISIL's efforts to undertake a review of the ratings outstanding. Despite repeated requests by CRISIL, SSCL is yet to provide adequate information to enable CRISIL to assess SSCL's ability to service its debt. The suspension reflects CRISIL's inability to maintain a valid rating in the absence of adequate information. CRISIL considers information availability risk as a key credit factor in its rating process and non-sharing of information as a first signal of possible credit distress, as outlined in its criteria 'Information Availability Risk in Credit Ratings'

About the Company

Based in Jaipur, Saboo Sodium Chloro Limited (SSCL) was incorporated in 1993. The company is engaged in manufacture of iodized edible salt and industrial salt. The company has facilities based in Nava having an installed capacity of 150000 MT and Gandhidham based in Gandhidham having an installed capacity of 200000 MT. The company sells its triple refined iodized salt under the brand name of Surya, Mayur, Saboo and Tota salt.
