After the heavy turbulence caused by the multiple Covid-19 waves and traffic plunging in fiscal 2021 to levels last seen a decade ago, the airport sector now seems to be sailing towards recovery.
Domestic traffic is closing in on pre-pandemic numbers and tariffs are getting bumped up with two out of four private metro airports providing for nearly double the tariffs.
On the other hand, the sector is also likely to see a debt driven capex whose implementation will spill over in the next few years.
