Day 1 (duration 4 hours)

 

Session 1

  • Introduction to business valuation , methods of company valuation and tools required for company valuation

 

Session 2

  • Estimating discount rates and understanding risk

 

Session 3

  • Discounted cash flow valuation (DCF) and forecasting cash flows

 

Day 2: Duration – 4 hours

 

 

Session 4

  • Case study on DCF valuation

 

Session 5

  • Relative valuation, its principles and techniques
  • Industry-specific applications of relative valuation

 

 

Trainer Profile

 

He is a finance professional with over 25 years’ in-depth experience in corporate finance functions of highly reputed companies in varied industries. He is a freelance consultant and trainer in the Finance area. 

 

He has experience in start-up companies involving setting up the entire function, as also in mature Finance organizations. He has functioned as a key decision maker on the CEO’s staff, including handling mergers and acquisitions and joint venture negotiations. At different points in time, has also headed Legal and Compliance, and Purchase functions along with the Finance portfolio. He has worked for organizations such as Tata Group, Godrej and Boyce, Fidelity Investments and few others. He has been doing training programmes with CRISIL since 2016.

 

He is a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1985-1987) - Specialization in Financial Management; Graduate of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWA) – 1991; and Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University (1982-1985).
